With several variations of the Calypso produced between 1997-2007, it only makes sense that a new revitalized version is finally making its way onto the scene. Each model features Spyderco's famous back lock mechanism with the pinnacle of the knife being its blade steel--Hitachi's tri-blend carbon steel Aogami Super Blue. This knife is part of Spyderco's exclusive Sprint Run family which offers limited-edition production runs of knives not found in their normal production models. These knives are highly sought after because once they run out, they will never be made again in the same variation. This model, the C52FPGYE, features a grey lightweight FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, stainless steel liners, a leaf shaped style blade in a satin finish, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and a reversible pocket clip that allows for tip down carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option.
