Description
The Olight Osight R is Osight's first optic purpose-built for rifles, carbines and shotguns: a fully enclosed red dot on the industry-standard Micro T1/T2 footprint. A large 1.10 x 0.87 inch (28 x 22 mm) multi-coated window gives a bright, wide sight picture, and the Multi-Reticle System switches between a precise 2 MOA dot, a fast 65 MOA circle, or both. A dedicated NV button toggles between 9 daylight and 3 night-vision brightness settings, each remembering its last-used level, while a motion sensor wakes the reticle the moment the rifle moves. The 7075-T6 aluminum housing is IPX8 waterproof, the CR2032 battery loads from the side without removing the optic, and removable front and rear lens covers plus an included anti-reflective device (ARD) protect the glass. With the Micro T1/T2 footprint, the Olight Osight R works with 1.21 inch, 1.535 inch, and 1.93 inch optical-center mounts and a wide range of aftermarket QD, riser and offset mounts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What footprint does the Olight Osight R use?
The Olight Osight R uses the Micro T1/T2 footprint, so it fits the same mounts as Aimpoint Micro-pattern optics, including 1.21, 1.535 and 1.93 inch optical-center risers and aftermarket QD and offset mounts from brands like Scalarworks, Reptilia, Unity and ADM.
What reticles does the Olight Osight R offer?
The Olight Osight R Multi-Reticle System lets you choose a 2 MOA dot for precision, a 65 MOA circle for speed, or the two combined as a circle-dot.
What is the difference between an enclosed and an open red dot?
An open red dot projects its LED from an exposed emitter, so rain, snow, mud or lint can block the dot. An enclosed red dot sight like the Olight Osight R seals the emitter between front and rear glass, keeping the reticle visible in bad weather and dirty conditions; the Osight R pairs that enclosed design with an IPX8 7075-T6 aluminum housing.
Is the Olight Osight R night-vision compatible?
Yes. A dedicated NV button on the Olight Osight R switches between 9 daylight and 3 night-vision brightness settings, and each mode remembers the level you last used.
What battery does the Olight Osight R use and how do you change it?
The Olight Osight R runs on a single CR2032 coin cell that loads from the side of the housing, so you can swap the battery without removing the optic or losing zero. Motion-activated wake and a low-battery alert extend and protect battery life.
Is the Olight Osight R waterproof?
The Olight Osight R has a fully enclosed 7075-T6 aluminum housing rated IPX8, and ships with removable lens covers and an anti-reflective device to protect the glass.
