The NiteCore Extreme is specifically designed for self-defense and law-enforcement use. It features a unique infinitely-variable digitally-controlled brightness system with a two-stage memory function.
Please note that the lumen specs below are for the R2 version. The Q3 version is a warm white, closer to what you would see with an incandescent light, and is a bit lower in overall output.

Infinitely-Variable Brightnes System
The NiteCore Extreme adopts a unique infinitely-variable digitally-controlled brightness system which enables users to set the brightness levels by simply rotating the bezel of the light. Switching between brightness levels is smooth without the limitation of having forced or preset brightness levels. Users can choose the output level they need according to their environment or situation. Also, the output can be set to a very low level to achieve very long runtimes.
