Our Mini Fatwood is the perfect size for the wilderness wanderer. These fatwood pieces are ~3" long, just the right size for your survival kit or stuffed in any nook and cranny of your pack. Each bag contains approximately 8 oz. (25 pieces) of 3" fatwood sticks.
Fatwood is wood from a pine tree that is saturated with resin. Thanks to the resin, fatwood will still light when wet, will burn much longer and hotter than regular pine, and lights easily with a flame or firesteel (if prepared properly).
