Description
Leucadia Blade Co LandShark: 3.5" Stonewash MagnaCut Fixed Blade, Mexican Blanket GCarta
The Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash is a small fixed blade that Leucadia Blade Co designed and Pro-Tech Knives builds in the USA. It has a 3.5" stonewash CPM MagnaCut drop point blade, a Mexican Blanket GCarta handle, and a deep finger choil right behind the edge. It's 8" overall and weighs about 4 oz, so it carries more like a big folder than a camp knife.
Mexican Blanket is the colorway a lot of people picture when they think of Leucadia. The striped GCarta is loud in the best way, and the plain stonewash blade lets the handle do the talking.
Leucadia is a family business out of Encinitas, California, best known for fillet and kitchen knives. The LandShark is their take on an everyday fixed blade: thin enough to slice well, with a .125" spine that can still handle camp chores, breaking down boxes, or cleaning a few fish. We're an authorized Leucadia Blade Co dealer.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the blade length of the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash?
The Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash has a 3.5" blade and is 8" long overall. The spine is .125" thick, which is on the thin side for a fixed blade and helps it slice cleanly.
What steel is used in the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash?
The Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash uses CPM MagnaCut, hardened to 63–64 HRC. MagnaCut was designed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas to be tough, hold an edge well, and resist rust better than most knife steels, and Leucadia heat treats it using the protocol he developed. The stonewash finish is tumbled, so it has a matte gray look that hides scuffs and fingerprints well. It's a practical choice if you plan to use the knife hard.
What handle material does the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash have?
The Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash has a Mexican Blanket GCarta handle. GCarta is made by layering colored fabric and resin, then pressing it into a solid block. It doesn't mind getting wet, it stays grippy, and the layers are what give it the pattern. Leucadia shapes the handle to lock into your hand when it's wet or cold.
Who makes the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash?
Leucadia Blade Co designed the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash, and Pro-Tech Knives makes it in the USA. Pro-Tech is the California knife company best known for its automatics, so the LandShark brings together a maker known for fishing knives and a shop known for precise production work.
Does the Leucadia Blade Co LandShark Mexican Blanket GCarta Stonewash come with a sheath?
