Well, it’s probably about time that I introduce myself. My name is Michael Mayne and I’ll be writing the majority of the blog posts on here. My official job title is Marketing Manager, so it’s my job to keep track of all of our social media accounts, write our monthly emails, and update our blog. If you interact with us via social media, then we’ve met, and you didn’t even know it. I’ve been on the job since January of this year.
When I’m not here, I’m almost guaranteed to be on the water. To call myself an avid fly fisherman would probably be an understatement. I’m on the water at least 50 days a year chasing trout, striped bass, or carp. While I’m by no means an expert, that amount of experience has afforded me some memorable days on the water, and I’m doing everything I can to convince Marshall to carry fly fishing gear (If you think we should sell fly fishing gear, or anything else for that matter, let us know).
Although fishing is my main outdoor activity, just being outside it my passion. If i’m not fishing, I’ll be kayaking, backpacking, or hiking with my wife. I’m definitely a gear junkie. I love finding great gear that can stand up the the abuse I put it through. I think gear is made to be used and used hard, so quality is a must for me.
