The JETBeam RRT-2 R5 underwent some changes with the new version. They added a new LED for increased output and a smoother beam, and changed the aesthetics of the light a bit. The RRT-2 is a rotary ring light, meaning that there is a ring below the head that lets you switch between three outputs and strobe whether the light is on or off. The switch on the rear of the light gives you momentary activation plus constant on. The light runs off of either two CR123 batteries or one 18650, giving you the option of using off the shelf batteries or rechargeable lithium ion ones for longer battery life.
As with pretty much every light we sell, these would make a great outdoor or tactical light. There are even the parts and accessories to mount these to a rifle if you want to trick out your zombie killer.
