Klarus RS11 Dual Switch Rechargeable 620 Lumen LED Flashlight - 18650 Battery Included

Rechargeable flashlights are typically low power with low run-times. Not the RS11. The ultra bright CREE XM-L U2 LED outputs a maximum of 620 ANSI lumens constantly for 2.2 hours and maximum runtime in low mode is 215 hours.  A Klarus 2200 mAh 18650 battery is now included with the purchase of an RS11.

The RS11 features Klarus’s patented dual-switch user interface (UI), which gives you full control over the flashlight using just your thumb. This unique UI uses two switches – one high/ prominent switch and one lower switch, both of which are located on the side of the flashlight and are easy to locate by touch in the dark. The position of these switches makes it easy to change modes and instantly access the disorientating strobe, which is an effective personal safety feature.

You can take the RS11 everywhere you go because it can be recharged in many different ways – for example: via a mains socket, PC/ laptop USB port, car USB port, 12v plug (with a 12v adapter), USB solar charger…In fact, any device with a USB port. If you are in a remote location with none of the above charging options available, you can use a recharged 18650 battery or even 2x CR123A batteries – making it extremely versatile.

The RS11 is packed with features; in addition to the above, the flashlight has a memory function to memorize the last mode used; it has a stainless steel strike bezel that can be removed and replaced with a color filter or diffuser; and the charging cable connector is magnetic, so it is quick and easy to insert the charger plug. Note: The above-mentioned parameters are approximate and may vary between flashlights, batteries and environments. Lumen data was achieved using 2x CR123 batteries and runtime was achieved using SANYO 18650 2600 mAh lithium ion batteries.

Operation:

• Lighting switch: Click the higher button for less than 0.6 of a second to activate momentary-on function. Press and hold the higher button for longer than 0.6 of a second to access the memorized mode (the mode that was previously used). Press and hold the higher button for more than 0.6 of a second to cycle through High-Mid-Low modes and release the switch to select a mode. Click the higher button to turn the light off.
• Strobe switch: Press the lower button for less than 0.6 of a second for momentary strobe. Press and hold the lower button for more than 0.6 of a second to lock the strobe. Click the lower button to return to previous lighting mode.
• Memory function: When the light is on for more than 3 seconds, the mode will be memorized. Turn the light off, then the next time you switch the light on it will activate with the memorized mode. 

Charging Operation:

RS11 uses special USB charging cable (K1-D5). The USB interface can be used with any USB power supply (including PC USB, vehicle USB, cell phone USB, etc.). The charging cable is connected to the RS11 flashlight with a magnetic connector, which self-locates when the connections are within 1cm of each other. When charging is complete, disconnection can be achieved quickly without damaging the flashlight or cable.

Charging Indicator:

When being charged, the light turns red. When charging is complete the light turns green. No light indicates that there is no load.

Cautions

• Charging time should not be more than 24 hours. It is suggested that after the indicator turns green, the charging port should be disconnected within 1 hour.
• If you do not intend to use the flashlight for a long period (i.e. a few months), please remove the battery to avoid leakage.
• If the battery has been stored for a long time, please charge and discharge the battery once every 3 months in order to prolong the lifespan of the battery.
• Do not connect or short-circuit the USB charging cable’s positive and negative poles with metal products.

Battery Replacement:

Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with positive side toward the light’s head. Screw the tail cap back on to operate the light.

Usage and Maintenance:

• Do not shine light directly into eyes.
• Use only quality brand name batteries.
• Remove battery when stored for extended periods.
• Replace and lubricate O-Rings as needed to maintain IPX-8 rating.
• Use soft brush and soapy water to clean the body of the flashlight.
